The only limitation is that the song must have some tie or resonance to the LGBTQIA+ community. Creativity, humor and adding some Broadway flair is encouraged in interpreting and re-interpreting your song, and song selection is not limited by gender identity or sexuality. Please bring sheet music of one (1) song you intend to sing for the cabaret and prepare at least 16 bars for the audition. In kicking off Pride Week, the special Monday showing at The Grand will aim to also be a Service Industry Night to honor service employees. For the first time, the cabaret will partner with Theatre Macon and Macon Little Theatre to show that the entire local theatre community supports Pride, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Macon Pride, in a production co-directed by Jim Crisp and Julia Rubens with music direction by McKinley Starks. “I feel pretty, and witty, and gay!” And so will you with an energetic revue that will revisit musical theatre and pop classics that resonate with the LGBTQIA+ community.
